Rare 'Medicane' storm hits southern Greece

Civil defense authorities were in high alert across the southern half Greece on Saturday, as a rare - according to meteorologists - cyclone-like depression was made landfall in the extreme southwest overnight and was winding its way in a northeasterly course.
